Valke Rugby Referee´s Society
The Valke Rugby Referee Society (VRRS) was originally founded in 1947, and was previously known as the Eastern Transvaal Rugby Referee Society. After the 1995 World Cup rugby was declared professional in South Africa, after which the Eastern Transvaal Rugby Football Union merged with the Vaal Triangle Rugby Union to form the Valke Rugby Referees’ Society.
The VRRS is a proud Society and produced the following international referees:
• Andre Watson
• Johan Gouws
• Piet Robbertze
The VRRS is currently officiating 1000 Secondary school games and 500 club games per season.
